today was a post office day. so, off i went...i was prepared this time. a lot of my packages were already paid for via the brilliant "clicknship" idea, so all i had to do was drop them off. i had several other etsy orders i needed to mail, so i got in line at the automated postage machine. while standing in line i counted the people in the other line waiting to be seen at a window. 56 people!!! 56 people were waiting in line...ok, so it's my turn at the machine. i get the postage for all of my packages and i'm on the last package. the machine breaks! now, this would have made some people angry. but i was SO (insanely) thrilled that the machine decided to wait to break until after i was done with all but one of my packages (the only one that luckily i can just slap some stamps on and mail off). i just felt like saying thank you to that little machine. is that weird? i mean, i guess i should have felt bad for all the people in line behind me....but i was so stoked that i was able to finish before the damn thing broke! it's the little things in life. :) this probably didn't deserve a whole post. but quite frankly, it seemed like a miracle at the time....
happy saturday to you. i hope your trips to the post office are as joyful as mine! xoxo
Oh wow!! That is a miracle!! I went to the PO yesterday to mail off orders and it was a little scary, but thankfully no lines at the self-serve machines. I think I'd probably have a fit if both broke (or just drive 20 minutes to the other PO!). lol.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Now I am totally wondering what the self service machines look like! :) We don't have them here... I wish we did, since the lines are often pretty long. Glad it waited till you were almost done to break though! That would be a relief:)

I went to the post office too - had three packages to mail....I LOVE using the APC - I think it is one of the PO's best inventions in the last several years. It took me all of 5 minutes (I was the only one using the APC) when the regular line was almost out the door. My daughter happily played with her new yo-yo and we were in and out in NO time! I just wish there was a way to do international mail or military mail at that machine! Maybe eventually.

This does indeed deserve a whole post and is in fact a postal miracle. Your fellow etsy sellers feel your triumph :) Hooray for the Automated postal machine!
